Immigration is one of the most important issues of our time! Please come to hear from people who KNOW the real issues – either through their work with immigrants and refugees or, through their lived experience as an immigrant to this country.

➢ A representative from Global Refuge (formerly known as Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Service) will share important information about who is migrating here and why; and how Global Refuge is working to reunite separated families and resettle refugees ➢ Hear from the mother of a young woman from Reading who worked with migrants traveling through Central America and her experience with them ➢ Get an update from a local immigration attorney regarding immigration laws and policies that affect the lives of immigrant communities ➢ Hear from local young adults who were recipients of a GRIP Dreamer Scholarship, have completed their college educations and are now working and serving their communities in a variety of ways
➢ There will be time for a Q&A session, refreshments and conversation Please join us for this important informational event! GRIP is a non-partisan group of volunteers seeking to educate ourselves and others on the issues surrounding immigration and how they affect our immigrant neighbors.
